It was another tremendous afternoon of results for followers of the November Update with three more winners at Cheltenham on Sunday, namely Peaky Boy, Abuffalosoldier (advised @ 6/1) and Burdett Road (advised @ 5/1). However, the feeling of elation after Abuffalosoldier's win in the staying handicap chase quickly turned to sadness with Warren Greatrex's gelding collapsing soon afterwards and losing his life. Following such a superb display of jumping and galloping, it was the last thing the seven year old deserved. It was a sickening end after a brilliant performance.

Burdett Road also made all to win the Greatwood Hurdle to cap a terrific couple of days for trainer James Owen and the Gredley family. Racing off a mark of 133, the four year old has been in fine form on the Flat during the Autumn and translated that back over jumps. Racing over hurdles for the first time since January, the Muhaarar gelding saw off the challenge of Dysart Enos before staying on well to fend off the lightly raced Be Aware. Both the second and third are featured in the Top 40 and are capable of landing something similar this winter.

Thank you very much to those clients who have emailed on Saturday and Sunday, it is greatly appreciated. The form figures of the selections in the Update over the two days were 123112151210.

Elsewhere, there were a couple of notable winners for the various sections in One Jump Ahead. Quantock Hills (9/5) confirmed the promise of his British debut at Wetherby last month by going one better at Fontwell on Sunday. Featured in the French Revolution section, Warren Greatrex's three year old pulled away after the second last to record a seven lengths win under his penalty. Another winning juvenile was Total Look (11/4) who scored at the first time of asking at Navan. Like Saturday's winner East India Dock, the grey is included in the Changing Codes section and he looks a useful recruit for Gavin Cromwell. A half length winner, he was value for more than the winning margin and can only improve.
