Olly Murphy's team in fine form

Olly Murphy trained a personal best 108 domestic winners last term and Gordon Elliott's former assistant has made an excellent start to the current campaign with 32 winners already on the board. Featured in the Talking Trainers section of One Jump Ahead, Olly interview has included 5 winners this week alone, namely Booster Bob (8/1), Bowling Buddy (5/2), Junker D'Allier (5/4), Wade Out (4/7) and Resplendent Grey (100/30).

Olly nominated Junker D'Allier as his horse to follow in OJA and the well bred son of Kapgarde made a successful start to his hurdling career at Carlisle on Thursday. Runner-up in all three bumpers last term, the five year old was given a patient ride by Sean Bowen creeping into contention on the final circuit. The French bred jumped accurately, especially in the homestraight before pulling away to register a four and three quarters of a length victory. Likely to be kept low key for the time being, he is a useful prospect who will jump fences eventually.

Talking of French recruits, the penultimate horse highlighted on page 154 of OJA has been bought since his hurdles debut at Auteuil in September. I am in the process of trying to find out who has purchased the three year old.
