Interview with Ed Walker

News broke on Friday that Top 40 entry and ante-post favourite for the Triumph Hurdle, Narciso Has has been ruled out of the Cheltenham Festival. It remains to be seen whether the Doctor Dino gelding will return later in the campaign. 

I am continung to work on Ahead On The Flat and I conducted an interview with Group 1 winning handler Ed Walker on Friday. Based at Upper Lambourn, Luca Cumani's former assistant enjoyed another excellent campaign in 2025 with 68 domestic winners. The stable were responsible for 14 Pattern winners last year and, in addition to a strong team of older horses, Ed has some highly promising three year olds for the new season. The plan is to run a couple of them next March - news of those will be included in the One Jump Ahead Cheltenham Festival Update.
