I am continuing to work on the Christmas Special and I am delighted to say leading bloodstock agent Anthony Bromley texted me the name of the horse he is most looking forward to seeing in action over the Festive period. An exciting youngster owned by Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, he is one clients will certainly be looking out for next week. The entries for Boxing Day were published on Friday and they include both Constitution Hill and Sir Gino in the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton. It will be interesting to see if the latter is entered in the Grade 2 Wayward Lad Novices' Chase over the same C&D the following day.
Nicky Henderson's dual Grade 1 winner is featured in the Top 40 Prospects in One Jump Ahead and the same section was amongst the winners at Ascot on Friday. Former Irish pointer Belliano confirmed the promise of his Rules debut at Chepstow during the Autumn by going one better in the two miles five maiden hurdle at the Berkshire track - a race his stable have won with the likes of Topofthegame and Welcom To Cartries in recent times. Still green, the Black Sam Bellamy gelding stayed on well to lead after the last and was value for more than the winning margin of a length and a half. He will have no trouble staying further later in the campaign and is very much a chaser in the making.
I have been in contact with a number of trainers regarding horses featured in the Top 40 and the information will be included in the Christmas Special. Please head to the Publications section of the site to order a copy, if you haven't already done so.
