Declan Phelan's Irish Pointers have made an excellent start to the season and the section unearthed another promising type on Thursday. That's Nice won her sole start 'between the flags' for J.P.McManus and Derek O'Connor in February before being transferred to Nicky Henderson during the summer. The four year old made her rules debut in the two miles three mares' novice hurdle at Warwick and, having been relatively weak in the market during the early exchanges, the daughter of Walk In The Park was heavily supported shortly before the off. Confidently ridden by Nico De Boinville, she travelled powerfully and, despite losing ground at the last, she soon came back on the bridle toying with the runner-up Honky Tonk Highway. A length and a half scorer, the winning margin could have been trebled had her rider wished. It was twenty lengths back to the third in a contest which admittedly lacked depth. She is a fine youngster for the Seven Barrows team to look forward to.
