Ahead On The Flat 2021

Thank you to all those clients who have emailed during the last 48 hours regarding the publishing date of Ahead On The Flat. In between trips to Carlisle (Sunday) and Wetherby (Tuesday) for Racing TV, I am currently working on the book with the intention of taking it to the printers at some stage next week - before the Easter break. I am therefore hoping it will be published during the second week of April. However, I will be able to give clients more of a definite date once I have taken the book to the printers. Therefore please keep checking on here for an update. Once I have completed the book, I will update my website with details of how to order Ahead On The Flat and Updates. The prices are remaining the same as last year - Ahead On The Flat £10.99 and AOTF plus the 3 Updates £28.99. 

Elysian Flame (5/2) was highlighted as a horse to follow in the November Update and it was pleasing to see Mick Easterby's gelding finally get off the mark over hurdles at Carlisle on Sunday. Third behind the smart Bear Ghylls at Exeter in January, the Champs Elysees gelding had a break for 70 days and was treated for ulcers in the meantime. Despite some novicey jumps, he stayed on strongly to win the two miles one handicap hurdle at the Cumbrian track by three parts of a length off a mark of 114. Rated 91 on the level, there is every possibility he will switch codes now and head to Musselburgh on Easter Saturday (2nd April) for the Queen's Cup. The five year old won't disgrace himself.
