A reminder that the Christmas Special will be emailed to clients on Tuesday evening (23rd December) - I want to see the final declarations for Boxing Day. Please head to the Publications section to order a copy, if you haven't already done so.
Chief allies Rich Ricci and Anthony Bromley have sent me the horses they are both looking forward to over the Festive period - the latter has highlighted a potentially smart recruit from France who will be having his first start for his connections later this week. Those loyal followers with good memories will recall Anthony nominating French recruit Bristol De Mai in the same feature eleven years ago - the grey duly won the Grade 1 Finale Juvenile Hurdle at Chepstow on his first run for Nigel Twiston-Davies at 6/1. Expect more of the same this time around.
The Christmas Special will also include an interview with rising star Harry Derham who kindly ran through his plans for his leading lights over the Festive period and beyond. Paul Nicholls' nephew and former assistant has his team in terrific order with 31 winners from only 127 runners (24%) and they include exciting unbeaten novice hurdlers Cristal D'Estruval, Le Frimeur, Mossy Fen Road and The Burren Man.
STOP PRESS: Milpat (5/4) provided the French Revolution section in One Jump Ahead with another victory when taking the concluding bumper at Huntingdon on Monday. A three year old by Cokoriko, Jamie Snowden's new recruit took advantage of his age allowance stretching away in the closing stages to register a three lengths victory.
