News on the exciting prospect Sharadd

Sad news broke earlier in the week that leading owner Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum had passed away on Monday. Synonyms with so many top-class performers over the years, including the brilliant Mtoto, his famous yellow and black silks were carried to victory by Weffaag at Newcastle on Saturday - his final runner before his death. That Havana Grey colt is trained by William Haggas who also unleashed a hugely exciting juvenile in the shape of Sharadd at Haydock earlier this month. The son of Dark Angel scored by six lengths at the Merseyside venue and was entered in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket this weekend. However, the Dubai Ruler's Court declared a 10 day mourning period which means he won't be lining up on Saturday. I contacted William on Wednesday afternoon and he passed on news of future plans for the colt. I will include those in the Autumn Update.
