The French Revolution - Part II feature in the November Update has highlighted some hugely promising youngsters in recent weeks. They include FIRE WARNING, MAESTRO CONTI and QUIRYN, who scored on their British and Irish debuts respectively. The latest winner was FEEL GUT was readily saw off half a dozen rivals by upwards of six and a half lengths in the junior National Hunt novices' hurdle at Warwick on Friday. A gelded son of Dschingis Secret and runner-up behind the highly regarded Macho Man on his debut at Auteuil in early October when handled by Jeremy Da Silva, he, along with the winner, was acquired privately by Joe and Marie Donnelly and sent into training with Nicky Henderson. Making all the running and, largely, jumping well, he proved far too strong and wasn't hard pressed in the homestraight. It was a taking start to his career in the UK but along way from winning a Triumph Hurdle. Eligible for novice hurdles next term, it will be interesting to see how the four year old is campaigned during the spring. Perhaps he will be tried in the Grade 2 Adonis Juvenile Hurdle at Kempton (21st February) next.
