Sunday Girl worth the wait

The Ed Walker trained Sunday Girl, who features in the Maidens In Waiting section of Ahead On The Flat, made her belated reappearance at Windsor on Monday evening. Absent for 361 days, the daughter of Frankel was sent off 15/8 for a six furlongs fillies' novice stakes at the Thames track. Partnered by Kieran Shoemark, she raced prominently throughout before taking over two furlongs out. Pushed clear to win by four and a quarter lengths, she looks a useful prospect for the remaining weeks of the season. It will be interesting to see if she is fast tracked into Pattern company in an attempt to gain some black type. Either way, she is a filly to keep an eye on.
