Another winner for Royal Ascot Update

Saqqara Sands was recommended for the Listed Eternal Stakes at Carlisle on Wednesday in the Names To Note section in the Royal Ascot Update and the Ralph Beckett trained filly didn't disappoint. The daughter of Oasis Dream had caught the eye on her reappearance in another Listed event at Epsom's Derby Festival finishing second behind the well regarded Formal earlier this month. She confirmed that view with an easy two and a half lengths victory at the Cumbrian track. Prominent throughout, Rossa Ryan's mount took over two furlongs from home before being pushed clear. Unexposed, she will have no trouble staying a mile and is capable of making an impact in Group races this summer and beyond. All four of her runs on turf have been on slow ground but her jockey feels she will handle a sounder surface.
