Following the disappointing performance of Ejaabiyah in the Listed Lyric Stakes at York on Friday evening, the Top 40 Prospects were back to form on Saturday with Friendly Soul (100/30) making all in the Group 3 Valiant Stakes at Ascot. The John & Thady Gosden trained filly hadn't been seen since running below par in the Musidora Stakes at York in May. Dropping back to a mile and returning to a right-handed track, the daughter of Kingman made all under an excellent ride by Kieran Shoemark to win readily by three lengths. Don't be surprised if the three year old returns to ten furlongs this Autumn with the Group 1 Prix de L'Opera at Longchamp in October a possible target.
Details of the forthcoming edition of One Jump Ahead - due to be published in mid September - have been added to the Publications section of the site.
