One Jump Ahead & Update available to pre order

A new feature this year is From the Weighing Room, which is an interview with leading jockey Nico De Boinville. Nicky Henderson's stable jockey has ridden 57 Grade 1 winners and 18 Cheltenham Festival successes during a glittering career which includes Cheltenham Gold Cup, Champion Hurdle and Queen Mother Champion Chase success. Nico has kindly highlighted a selection of horses he rode last term and is looking forward to partnering this winter. It was an excellent addition to the book.

Switching codes, the good form of the Top 40 in Ahead On The Flat continued on Thursday with Enoch maintaining his unbeaten record at Lingfield. The John & Thady Gosden trained three year old held some lofty entries in the spring before incurring a setback which ruled him out for most of the summer. The well bred son of Frankel hadn't been seen since late September and, despite the lengthy absence, was backed as though defeat was out of the question (4/5 into 2/5 favourite). William Buick's mount looked rusty but responded generously when asked for his effort in the home straight. Leading close home, he won snugly by a head from a useful rival with nearly five lengths back to the third. He is hopefull set for a productive Autumn.
