Thank you very much to all those clients who have emailed on Saturday following an excellent day for the Autumn Update. Boiling Point (advised @ 16/1) produced a terrific weight carrying performance shoulding 9st 12lb and, in doing so, emulated stablemate Liberty Lane who prevailed twelve months earlier. Remarkably, the last three winners of the nine furlongs cavalry charge have all carried top weight of 9st 12lb. Only having his fourth run for Karl Burke, the son of Too Darn Hot ironically beat former stablemate Indalo by the narrowest of margins. Making all the running, Clifford Lee dictated matters with the far side holding sway until challenge late on by Roger Varian's progressive runner-up. The first six home were drawn in stalls 6, 3, 10, 23, 11 and 7. Runner-up in the Group 3 Strensall Stakes at York last time, Boiling Point was conceding upwards of six pounds to his 22 rivals - it was a tremendous effort.

Earlier on the card, the Queen Mary Stakes winner True Love was advised @ 9/2 for the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes and Aidan O'Brien's filly justified strong market support. Partnered by Wayne Lordan, the No Nay Never filly travelled strongly in behind the leaders before being produced entering the dip. Aidan O'Brien's filly had to battle hard to get the better of the well backed Havana Anna before crossing the line three parts of a length in front. Found to lame when beaten in the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh last time, she is a big powerful filly who should train on next year. Not short of speed, it remains to be seen whether the Ballydoyle filly will stay a mile next year.

Having tipped the first and second in the Sky Ebor Handicap in the York Ebor Update followed by the Cambridgeshire, it has been an excellent end to the season for the Updates. Plus, we there are selections for the Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe and Cesarewitch still come.

If you haven't ordered the new edition of One Jump Ahead - which is due to be delivered on Tuesday next week - or the Updates, please head to the Publications section of the site.
