Interview with Group 1 winning handler Ed Bethell

I am delighted to announce that the new edition of Ahead On The Flat will include an interview with Ed Bethell. I spoke to the Group 1 winning handler on Wednesday and the Middleham trainer is excited about the season ahead with a strong team for 2024. Ed took over the licence from his father James in 2021 and his seasonal tallies have been 22, 22 and 43 winners. Regional, who was purchased for 3,500gns in July 2021 and the six year old has won four times since including the Group 1 Haydock Sprint Cup in September. In addition to his older horses and three years, Ed has highlighted a select number of horses from his new crop of juveniles. 

As a bonus for Cheltenham Festival Update subscribers, there will be news of Ed's runners towards the end of March and early April who will be in action before Ahead On The Flat is published. These include some exciting three year olds.
