I am delighted to include an interview with rookie trainer Harry Derham in the February Update. Having sent out 14 winners at a strike-rate of 25% during his first season last year, the former assistant to Paul Nicholls has built on this time around with 25 winners from only 94 runners (27%). Responsible for some promising youngsters, including bumper winners Noahsgreatrainbow and Queensbury Boy, Harry also has some experienced handicappers and is putting together a strong team for the future. We discussed over 20 horses and the interview is an excellent addition to the Update.
If you haven't ordered your copy of the February Update, please head to the Publications section of the site. Just a reminder to clients, the Update will be emailed out on Thursday pm.
Mistergif is another exciting prospect for the French Revolution section in One Jump Ahead having scored by 18 lengths on his Irish debut at Limerick on Tuesday. Contesting the same two miles maiden hurdle won by stablemate State Man a couple of years ago, the Zarak gelding made all the running and jumped superbly. Quickening away after the second last, the five year old holds entries in the Supreme and Baring Bingham Novice Hurdles at the Cheltenham Festival.
