Interview with Jamie Snowden

Jamie Snowden had a personal best season with 86 winners at a strike-rate of 25% during the 2025/2026 National Hunt campaign. Nicky Henderson's former assistant added to his Cheltenham Festival tally when Johnny's Jury won the Grade 1 Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle, while Wendigo was a Grade 2 winner at Newbury's Winter Festival. The Lambourn based handler continues to go from strength to strength and I am delighted to include an interview with Jamie once again in the new edition of One Jump Ahead. On Friday afternoon, he kindly ran through his increasingly powerful string which has been added to with a number of new recruits from France and Ireland - there are some tremendous additons to the squad and another big season is anticapted for the Folly House Stables team. 

I haven't had time to analyse all the action at Goodwood on Friday with typing up the various interviews for OJA. However, it didn't go unnoticed that Achivist (16/1), American Affair (12/1) and Into The Light (2/1) all won on day four of the fixture. That trio were all tipped in the Royal Ascot Update - apparently, patience is a virtue. On other thing which struck is how well the form of the King George V Handicap at the Royal meeting has worked out - Enceladus, Al Azd, Galilean Quality, Into The Light, Golden Knight and Genchev all lined up in the twelve furlongs event and have won subsequently.
